| The Aims of Cedar Park Nursery
To provide a safe, stimulating caring environment and help the children to develop positive relationships with other children and adults.
To offer a high quality, age appropriate curriculum for all children, which is play-based because we believe that children learn best through supported play experience.
To help all children reach their full potential in all areas of their development in a fun filled, relaxed environment. We believe that the learning environment must be planned to ensure children are provided with rich and invigorating experiences, to build on what they already know and can do.
To ensure that the individual needs of every child are met taking into account their age and ability. We encourage the children to use the resources and the environment in a way that will develop their confidence, independence and problem solving.
To make this first step between home and school life an exciting and challenging one. Our qualified and vastly experienced staff have been carefully chosen for their abilities to create an environment where the loving care and supervision of your child is equally important as the provision of a first rate pre-school education. Care and education are integral. We believe that children are best supported when parents and staff work together. We endeavour to network with other professionals for the benefit of all.
To foster the children's sense of well-being and self esteem by ensuring that the experiences, family background, interests, abilities and cultural heritage will be positively celebrated and reflected in the nurseries.
Excellent staff child ratios ensure that all those in our care are encouraged to make use of their natural curiosity, imagination and enthusiasm for learning. The basis of learning through play, coupled with a wide range of activities such as art, drama, music, language, pre-reading and numeracy skills all help to provide your child with a marvellous foothold on the ladder of learning.
The Children's Act 1989 has now been supplemented by the National Standards for Childcare. Both require that our Policies and Procedures, which govern the way we run the Nursery are set out in writing. Please ask to see this when you visit and before you register your child.
"In committing ourselves to these goals we are confident that parents wishing to resume a career or simply wishing to pursue a more active lifestyle can do so secure in the knowledge that their children are benefiting and thriving in an enjoyable, caring, encouraging environment"
